So excited!!

Well I forgot to post about my good news!! First, I am now a proud member of Robin Carlton's creative team. Talk about a dream gig. I have been a fan of hers for quite awhile now. She's so so sweet and I am LOVING being on her team so far!! My second bit of good news: I won second place in Audrey Neal's word art contest!! I get a GC to her store at the Lilypad! WOOHOO!! This is the LO I entered:


I just love this LO!! I'm not sure what it is, but I feel like my style has really evolved lately. It's changed and definitely for the better. It's not like I have ever been unhappy with my pages, but I definitely have been proud of these more recent pages :)

I have one more bit of good news, but I can't share that until later this week. I will just say that I am so excited and it has something to do with a very good friend of mine.... :)

So Friday is my bday. We don't have too much planned. I'm taking off that day and bringing Libby into work since most of them haven't seen her since last year. I try to keep her away from there as much as I can, LOL. Well I just finished uploading a LO and I'm off to bed. Sorry for such a boring post, I just had to to a little TOOT TOOT here!! :)

Finally Friday

Thank goodness it's Friday. It was a short week since Monday was a holiday, but those always seem like the longest weeks. We're supposed to have very stormy weather here this weekend and I am soooo excited about that!! I just love thunderstorms!! Tomorrow we have an appointment at Penney's to get Libby's 2 year pictures taken. I can't wait to see how these turn out! She is just TOO cute!! Of course, I'm biased though, lol. Let's see....

New, cute Libby things:

Libby is way into singing now. Her favorite songs to sing are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Happy Birthday, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Bingo, any song from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Wiggles. Talk about CUTE!!

She counts to 10 all by herself. I am just amazed at how clearly she says the numbers and that they're all in order!

The other night at dinner we were saying grace and she started to say grace with us. Nothing sweeter than that lil voice of hers trying to be a big girl by saying grace!

When I left the other night to go do something with my mom, Libby grabbed my face and kissed my forehead several times. I couldn't get over how sweet that was!! Then I had to laugh because I realized where she got it from: she has a Disney Princess storybook and one of the stories has a picture of Snow White kissing Dopey on the forehead. Apparently, I am Libby's Dopey, ROFL!

She says her name correctly now! She used to call herself Bibby, but now she can actually pronounce her "L's".

It amazes me how quickly she is growing up. It's hard to believe that 2 weeks from today she'll be 2 years old!! We finally decided on what we're getting her for her birthday! This fun sandbox.

I can't wait to see her playing in it this Spring. And with the little picnic table and bench, she'll be able to have snacks outside and everything!! And yes, we DO have spring fever terribly bad in the Book household.

Well I'm off to see what the cats are getting into....they're making ALOT of noise, sheesh!! Oh and I'll be back this weekend to post TWO fun things that I can't share quite yet! I'm way super excited about both! :)

Ooops

It seems that I forgot that I have a blog, lol. It's been just a little while since I posted. I remember setting it up with the intention of posting everyday. So we finally have SNOW!! I am so excited about this. I'm not sure what it is, but it seems like winter comes later and later every year. Libby got to play in the snow for the first time the other day - she had so much fun!! We couldn't stay out too long because she did NOT want to keep her mittens on, lol. Got some cute pictures that I'll have to post later.

Nate and I both had to go into work today, so his mom and dad watched Libby. We stopped at Target on our way home and we picked up Libby's birthday party stuff. She's going to have a princess party this year. I need to figure out what kind of cake to make. I want to do something really cute, so I'll be checking around for ideas.

I'm so excited about Nascar this year. I don't know why it's changed all of a sudden. I was such a big fan for a long time then for about 2 years I got a little tired of it and now I'm ready to watch it again. I've always been a Dale Jr fan (what's not to love about him?). Nate will be rooting for Juan Pablo since he's a former F1 driver. I am super excited about the F1 season starting in March too! And then there's baseball. I can't WAIT for the Cardinals' season to start up again after coming off our World Series championship!! YAY! Okay enough sports talk from me, I'm starting to bore myself now, lol.

Ooooh I got 2 new fonts today!! I had been toying with this idea for a little while and I think her retirement gave me the kick I needed to get it done. I ordered my print and script font from Kimberly Geswein. Holy WOW I had no idea my printing could look so good on-screen!! I don't know that I'll ever use another font!! This was the best $25 I had spent in a long time!!




Well, I'm off to do a little bit of browsing and what not. Hopefully it won't be another month and a half before I remember I have a blog, LOL!!

So ready for the weekend

I am so ready to get the weekend started. I've had a really short week at work since we were off Monday and Tuesday, but it still seems so long!! We had a really fun New Year's Eve. Nate, Libby and I spent the evening over at Jeremy and Angela's. Nic and Katie were there too. Libby had SO much fun playing with Calista!! They are so freaking cute together!! Libby looks up to her so much! We hung out, ate, played a little Guitar Hero (I failed miserably at that), did a little Dance Dance Revolution (LOVE that game!!) and then struggled to stay up until midnight. Any other night of the week I pretty much have to force myself to go to bed at a decent hour. Not on New Years Eve though, lol!! Here are a couple of pictures of the girls from that night. And with that, I'm off to bed. I'll post more tomorrow. I'm a little too sleepy to drag this out any longer, lol!
